Wardrobe & Image Consulting

Hi… I’m Shelley Hamilton. For over 25 years, I have worked in Canada & abroad as a professional singer, actor, teacher and host. During those years, I’ve also worked in retail, from the highest of high end (Creeds) to specialty shops and main stream stores. Those years in fashion & using that experience in the entertainment industry taught me that presenting your best image is essential. As the saying goes, “You never have a second chance to make a first impression.”

Being conscious of giving a good impression at all times (excluding walking the dog!) had people taking notice, but when I told people the prices of my ensembles (including accessories!), I realized this natural ability to “sniff out a great bargain” was a skill I needed to pass on; to show others fashion can be fun, inexpensive, attainable, and effortless! So, when asked by friends to do closets/wardrobes for them, I started showing them how to pull together great outfits with what they had & if needed, where to find great clothing deals to help them define their own sense of style & de-clutter their wardrobes; I even gave hair, skin, & make-up advice. The more I started doing it, the more people were requesting my services and voilà…Wardrobe Shark was born!

Let experience manage your creativity

Shelley got into music management  quite by accident. When a fundraiser she was invited to kept losing its participants due to the music being the wrong fit for the event, she saw an obvious niche that needed to be filled. Since then, she has arranged entertainment for such clients as Toronto International Film Festival, Rogers Cable,  American Express, & St. Michaels Hospital.

She has also used her skills to help plan music for weddings, arranging everything from Classical pianists  for the processional to Klezmer music for the reception!

With Shelley it’s all about the details…  from time frames for musicians to arrive and set up, volume of music, and visual presentation (wardrobe). Shelley has even written music for some clients for events!

Seeing your event musically successful is her success, so to see if Shelley can find the right musical fit for your event, contact her here.

The Story of the 1st African Canadian Communities in Canada

“A New Hope” is a one-woman play based on the historical accounts of John Clarkson’s mission to America in 1791 to improve the conditions of the Black Loyalists in Nova Scotia and to promote the colonization of Sierra Leone in Africa. The storyteller, through the voices of those who made the journey to Nova Scotia, tells of their hardships and hopes for a better life in this new land. Many found hope in the promises of John Clarkson, with the departure for some to Sierra Leone, Africa in 1792. The year 2008 marks the 225th anniversary of the Black Loyalists’ arrival in Nova Scotia and their creation of the 1st large free Black Community living in the world outside of Africa. “New Hope” is a play created in honour of this celebration.
