Wardrobe & Image Consulting
After spending those years in retail and fashion, and using that experience over the years working in the entertainment industry, I have learned that presenting your best image possible is critical to making a great first impression. Like the saying goes, “You never have a second chance to make a first impression.”
Luckily, I am the sort of gal that has an affinity for looking good at all times (well, most times… I don’t dress my best walking the dog for example)! Now I know that this all sounds a little bit pompous but I truly do have a natural ability to “sniff out a great bargain”! I’ll show up for an event or performance looking “fabulous” and someone will inevitably ask me, “Where did you get that skirt? Or blouse. Or pants. Or Purse. Or shoes”. You get the picture. I always tell them where and how much it cost and there is a look of shock and envy on their faces followed by, “Shop for me!” or “You should be doing this for a living!” So, I started going into my friends’ closets/wardrobes and sorting through their clothes and showing them how to pull together great outfits and where to find fantastic clothing deals. Helping them to define their own sense of style and last but certainly not least, how to de-clutter their wardrobes. The more I started doing it, the more people were requesting my services and voilà…Wardrobe Shark was born!
There is an obvious need for women and men to understand that their own personal sense of style/fashion is possible and affordable. Everyone deserves to be the best they can be for themselves and I can show you how! Okay, so I want to promise you one thing: I will not be “wardrobe styling” for “Madonna or Cher or Seal” or any of those other rich “one name famous folk”. This is real wardrobe help for everyday people like you and me. I want to show you that you don’t have to make a million bucks to look “like a million bucks”.

Shelley got into music management quite by accident. When a fundraiser she was invited to kept losing its participants due to the music being the wrong fit for the event, she saw an obvious niche that needed to be filled. Since then, she has arranged entertainment for such clients as Toronto International Film Festival, Rogers Cable, American Express, & St. Michaels Hospital.
She has also used her skills to help plan music for weddings, arranging everything from Classical pianists for the processional to Klezmer music for the reception!
With Shelley it’s all about the details… from time frames for musicians to arrive and set up, volume of music, and visual presentation (wardrobe). Shelley has even written music for some clients for events!
Seeing your event musically successful is her success, so to see if Shelley can find the right musical fit for your event, contact her here.

The Story of the 1st African Canadian Communities in Canada
“A New Hope” is a one-woman play based on the historical accounts of John Clarkson’s mission to America in 1791 to improve the conditions of the Black Loyalists in Nova Scotia and to promote the colonization of Sierra Leone in Africa. The storyteller, through the voices of those who made the journey to Nova Scotia, tells of their hardships and hopes for a better life in this new land. Many found hope in the promises of John Clarkson, with the departure for some to Sierra Leone, Africa in 1792. The year 2008 marks the 225th anniversary of the Black Loyalists’ arrival in Nova Scotia and their creation of the 1st large free Black Community living in the world outside of Africa. “New Hope” is a play created in honour of this celebration.
