Hello everyone! Fall is here and it will be a busy one for me! I had a wonderful and hectic summer, highlights including a gig with my “a cappella” group, The Delightful Divas at the United Steel Workers National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, performances with Classic Albums Live, and several shows in my home of Nova Scotia for the Black Cultural Centre’s 25th Anniversary Gala, the 25th anniversary event for Africville with the amazing Joe Sealy at Neptune Theatre. However my labour of love was my one-woman play, A New Hope (more on that later in this email). But first, let’s see what I’ll be doing in the next little bit that you can come out and see….

This will be the 4th installment of the Some Canadians I Know Showcase, featuring some of my favourite Canadian singers and songwriters that I know…hence the name! This is going to be a great night, and I’ll be doing tunes from Daniela Nardi, Diane Leah, Jane Milliken & Lee Aaron, Craig Martin, and some new tunes by yours truly! Plus an honourable mention for the wonderful Mark Kieswetter (musical director of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross fame!) who will be accompanying me on the piano for the aforementioned dates! Please call Statlers 1st to confirm this event!!. I will be sending out an email again shortly to confirm…
Weds, December 3rd, Halifax, N.S
Stayner’s Wharf Pub & Grill
1781 Upper Water St, Halifax, Nova Scotia
Reservations recommended 902-492-1800
This is a one night only in Halifax, and we all know what happens in Halifax…it will turn into a big ole jazz kitchen party! I have the incredible Holly Arsenault on keys fronting an amazing three piece along with Danny Parker on bass ( just returned to Halifax from a 16 year stint in Vancouver , where he was part of Michael Bubles’ band) and Dave James on drums ( a Halifax monster veteran on the skins!). The food is amazing, so if you feel like some “down-home” hospitality and loads of fun, take a plane, train or automobile and I’ll see you there!
