Those that know- know I make a good pie - apple is my go to, but I’m Scotian, so I must say my blueberry. Pie is “slamming”!!! - and after you’ve had my pie the crust - oooh child- you’ll feel the love! Wish I could make one for you all - I think I owe a few peeps one or two!

Thanks @chefdorisfin for introducing me to @livafoods date sugar. I’ve used it in pies, cookies, coffee - delicious. My pies can’t tell the difference! And so good for you!

🎶To all the pies I’ve loved before
I made them fresh, flavours galore
Apple or pumpkin spice
You know I made them nice
To all the pies I’ve loved before🎶

A Willie Nelson parody song about pie? Of course - country girl gots to represent… You’re welcome!!

#MondayThoughts #MartinLutherKingDay

I don’t usually make a statement about the importance of this day, but as a black Canadian, observing what has happened in the US in regards to Americans and their askew voting system, My observations are this…

Why is it so hard for black people to vote in a democratic society?

In truth if there is no universal access to be able to vote, then there actually is no democracy- and so present day, my people are STILL fighting to vote. We saw it in the line ups of the last election. I was so proud of people standing in line ups for HOURS in cold weather just to be able to vote… Knowing that all of it was done INTENTIONALLY to limit access….

I was born in the 60’s. In 1965 Martin Luther King marched peace in Selma Alabama, and my brothers and sisters continue to be the example of grace even when Jim Crow tactics like literacy tests, changing poll locations and closing others, and we’ll never forget the police beatings that continue to this day.

And now Republicans are now writing new laws to impede registration to vote, limit drop box voting, limit times polls will be open - Does this not sound like a “New Jim Crow”? #Shame #Shame #Shame

My wish for my fellow Brothers and sisters
In the US is this on this very important day as we remember Martin Luther King’s birthday, is this: #RememberMartinLutherKing

#MondayVibes #HowYouDoing #CheckIn

hey how are you? So I don’t have a lot to update these days… but I have been doing things…
As a cancer survivor, I’ve been honoured to mentor people while they’re trying to navigate their cancer through the madness of a pandemic. I’ve been donating food and supplies to those who need. And I’ve been reaching out to others who may be isolated or alone. All little things, but for those that we connect with, it means a lot. And helping others, will help me keep myself mentally well so when I am out and about creating again (and WE/I WILL) I’ll be ready for you. Caring for others cares for me - and it does the same for you. Sending love to you all, keep creating and stay safe!!
